Zambia: PF Postmortem: Party Became Arrogant, Pompous, Detached

A political research has revealed that the Patriotic Front lost power in the August 12, 2021 because if had become arrogant and detached from the people.

PF Chairperson for Information and publicity RAPHAEL NAKACHINDA says the report also revealed that indiscipline, cadreism coupled with hooliganism greatly contributed to the down fall of the party.

Speaking during a media briefing in Lusaka today, Mr. NAKACINDA explained that the party has acknowledged and accepted the postmortem results saying it will be used to rebuild ahead of the 2026 general election.

And Mr. NAKACINDA disclosed that the party has suspended campaigns for party Presidency with to concentrate on rebuilding the former ruling party.

He said every party member must heed the Central Committee’s decision to suspend Presidential campaigns.

Mr. NAKAKACINDA further said the PF will not entertain indiscipline and hooliganism as the rebuilding process is on.

He said the opposition party will continue to offer checks and balances to the new dawn government for the benefit of all Zambians.

MEANWHILE, UPND Alliance Media Director THABO KAWANA said the PF’s defeat is an eye opener for the ruling party to always work for the people.

Mr. KAWANA said the UPND Alliance will always work at meeting aspirations of the citizens because power lies with the people.
