Covid-19 Vaccines Not Mandatory In Zambia - Lungu

President Edgar Lungu says government will not force any one to take the Covid 19 vaccines.

He says government will leave it to individual citizens to make a decision.

President Lungu says government will however continue to listen to advice given by health experts on the vaccine and how to fight the virus.

He says there is need to continue learning becuase the virus is new and more research is been done.

He said this when he inspected he state of infrastructure at Mikonfwa and Mpatamato markets in Luanshya.

Meanwhile, President Lungu said government has a plan to modernise old markets.

President Lungu said he willl engage the ministry of local government to see what can be done to rehabilitate old markets on the Copperbelt.

And Mikonfwa Market Chairman thanked Fredrick Mulenga thanked the President for pledging to lift the face of the old markets on the Copperbelt.

He said President Lungu has shown love to the traders in the markets by protecting their interests.
