Zambia Records Reduction In Covid Hospital Admissions

Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary Technical Services Kennedy Malama says the Country has recorded a marked reduction in Hospital admissions over the past days .

Dr Malama said with this development, Government is determined to sustain this downward tread and flatten the curve of the third wave.

He explained that he is happy that Government under the leadership of President Edgar Lungu on Friday reiterated directives to curb Covid-19.

And Dr Malama stated that Government is extremely proud of Covid-19 vaccination programme and has received overwhelming response across the country.

He has disclosed that Lusaka has already depleted their allocations for dose 1 adding that the demand generation in other provinces will similarly be enhanced.

Meanwhile, Dr Malama has announced that the country has recorded
One Thousand, Three Hundred and Twenty-Eight new confirmed Covid-19 cases out of 7 Thousand 3 Hundred and 67 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.

He said the country has recorded 29 Covid-19 deaths the lowest death in the past weeks

Dr Malama pointed out that the development indicates that there is progress in the fight against the pandemic.
